Headteacher's message

I am delighted to welcome you to Hermitage Primary school’s website. We aspire for children to be the best they can be, leading an active life, promoting health and well-being, achieving success to help them make their dreams a reality. Our vision is that children are nurtured to be Safe, Happy, Inquisitive children, who Never give up and are Enthusiastic and Successful- because together everyone SHINES.

Our village school prides itself on the delivery of a creative and inspiring curriculum that is designed to stimulate the learning of all pupils. All children possess unique skills and experiences and we aim to value and challenge these equally.  We firmly believe that the emergence of a child's interests and academic abilities is best supported by an environment that nurtures, rewards and celebrates achievements promoting a life-long love of learning.

We are really proud of our Ofsted judgment as a ‘GOOD’ school. We continually strive to improve and build on this; working in partnership with the whole school community- pupils, staff, governors and the wider community.

Our overall aim at Hermitage is that our pupils leave us as confident, enthusiastic learners prepared to face the challenges that lay before them in their life ahead.
